LIFE IN KOLAGHAT TOWNSHIP

In 1984 my father got a transfer letter form bandel to kolaghat and till now we are enjoying a very much happy life in kolaghat township. Twenty-six years goes on but nothing seems old here, every buildings, every trees, every roads here becomes more and more beautiful. Located besides the NH-6 and NH-41, the township is divides into mainly two categories. On the right hand side of the NH-41 there is a block of “C type quarters” and on the left hand side there consists of “A, B, E, F type quarters”. Also there is another block of “D  type ” situated on the left of NH-6.In our township there is a small market named “mini market” where the price of each item is very costly, a recreation club where the entire cultural program held, a beautiful school, a well- equipped hospital and many more things which can give you full comfort in your life. People here are very friendly, helpful and also innovative. The occasion list in our township is very small but very effective. The KTPS cultural fair is the long awaited event in our township which started in the 1st week of January. The healthy, natural and calm atmosphere in our township makes all the residents very relaxed. I heard from my mother that i had open my eyes in this township at b/11/5(block no/quarter no/flat no) and till now it goes on until 2012 comes. Every time I reached to the top floor of our building I find the emission of smoke from the six chimneys from the power plant. Perhaps they and my beautiful township are only the witnesses of the secrets of my life. I know that at some times I have to leave this beautiful place and that is surely being one of my painful moment in my life. But still this kolaghat township has converted this Subhendu to a perfect citizen, a perfect family man, a perfect friend, a perfect student and many more things……..

My $weet Home

Hi friends, myself Subhendu Gayen. I stayed at Kolaghat, a small town in the Purba Medipur district and just finished my engineering studies from Techno India College in Kolkata. In my home town we all lived in Kolaghat township where my father is an employee of K.T.P.P, mother is a housewife and my elder sister is a school teacher, now enjoying a happy marriage life. Like all other people I also love my family and they do also. Not only they help us in many ways in my life but also they teach me very good qualities by which now I can prosper in life. Both of my parents are very gentle in nature, they never talk very loud towards me or they never disobeyed my dreams, my passions, my desires. In many aspects of life I found a little hash of my parents but when I think about it I find myself as a culprit person. In some tuff situations I always find my father Mr. Sanat Kumar Gayen very normal. He always pretends like our friend to myself and to my sister whenever both of us stuck into some kind of troubles. His joking sense is quite remarkable and loves to take different kind of foods. My mother’s nature is slightly different and can be described as a coconut. Why??? Because the hardness of the coconut is only in the outside but it is very soft inside so do my mother Mrs. Sikha Gayen. Always she maintains her dignity towards others and she is the bank manager of our family. Today what we have is just only for her, nobody can deny that. Now a days she becomes one of my best friends. And about my elder sister Mrs. Shrabani Das(Gayen)  well the day should be over but her story would never finished. She married to by brother-in-law Mr.Amit Kumar Das in love marriage for 10 yrs without knowing to my parents but she share each and every prospectus of her life. Now what I am in front of my society is only for her. She is always my “GULGULA” , which I name after her.
For twenty two years I had seen my family suffers many up and downs in their life but we always stood together, we helped each other, we fight together and now I can say that I am really happy with my family. And I am proud to express my feelings towards yours as a son of my father. I do not believe in re-birth concept but if it happens I wish to god that in each and every re-birth I should find these people as my family members.
